The FINANCIAL -- Nils Frers, an MBA alumnus from Cambridge Judge Business School, has been named 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' at the Cambridge University Entrepreneur's Business Creation Competition.
His online initiative, studentreadinglists.com, also won 'Software Start Up of the Year' and the Angel prize.
The web tool was a result of a collaboration between Nils, Robert and Cambridge Judge Business School's MBA Programme team and was launched in September 2011 to the incoming Cambridge MBA students.Although there is no additional cost for the service, the company does receive a commission for every book purchased that it shares with the corresponding university. According to Cambridge Judge Business School, the concept has been proven, with Cambridge Judge Business School being one of the first institutions to use the service, with the money raised being donated to Aiducation International - a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving underprivileged students in Kenya access to education.
