Duo awarded honorary fellowships

The FINANCIAL -- London Business School has awarded honorary fellowships to John Connolly and Lord Adair Turner.

John Connolly is chairman of AMEC and G4S, both FTSE100 companies, and is a member of the School's governing body.

He enjoyed a long career with Deloitte, becoming a partner at the age of 26 and moving on to be a senior partner and chief executive in 1999, a role he retained until stepping down in 2011.

Lord Adair Turner has combined successful careers in business, public policy and academia and became a cross-bench member of the House of Lords in 2005.

According to London Business School, he served as chairman of the Pensions Commission from 2003 to 2006, and chaired the Low Pay Commission from 2002 to 2006.

In 2008 Lord Turner was appointed chairman of the Financial Services Authority in 2008 and is the author of two books, Just Capital - The Liberal Economy and Economics after the Crisis - Objectives and Means.
