Thomson Reuters To Host Indonesian Regulatory Summit In Jakarta

The FINANCIAL -- Thomson Reuters, one of the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals announced that the inaugural Indonesian Regulatory Summit will take place in Jakarta on 05 September, 2012 in collaboration and with the support of the principle Indonesian regulatory bodies of Bank Indonesia and Bapepam-LK.

Muliaman Hadad, recently appointed chairman of Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), will conduct the welcome address.

The Indonesian Regulatory Summit will provide a platform for industry experts and practitioners to network, share ideas, elevate awareness and ultimately enhance the local corporate governance, risk management and compliance culture. As Thomson Reuters reported, over 200 senior level executives will attend the summit from a range of local, regional and global financial regulatory bodies, exchanges, associations and authorities in addition to senior management and key heads of compliance and risk management from leading organizations within the financial services industry.

The Thomson Reuters Summit will address the state of financial regulation in Indonesia, including ASEAN financial integration, single bank and foreign ownership as well as Basel III. International banking and corporate governance practices will also be covered as will risk management and corporate governance trends across Asia. Additional sessions will discuss anti-corruption and compliance and the technology supporting corporate governance requirements in the financial services industry.

Other organizations and leading industry practitioners supporting the event include The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship, KPMG, Standard Chartered Bank, PT Manulife, ABNR, Moody's and Herbert Smith.
