The FINANCIAL -- MasterCard ’s Academy of Risk Management is hosting its 24th
Asia/Pacific Risk Management Conference beginning today in Bangkok.
The annual four-day symposium brings together hundreds of financial service and risk management professionals from across the Asia Pacific region.
“This conference provides an excellent opportunity for payment card data security professionals to enhance their understanding of the very latest technological developments and data protection strategies to better prevent and detect fraud, which ultimately benefits cardholders worldwide,” said Nancy O’Malley, Chief Payment System Integrity Officer, MasterCard Worldwide. “After nearly a quarter century of convening the brightest minds in the payment security and data protection space, we’re excited to continue this dialogue as new technologies constantly change the landscape of payment card security and fraud management.”
This year’s Asia/Pacific Risk Management Conference welcomes hundreds of industry leaders from more than 25 countries representing more than 110 unique financial institutions and service provider organizations. MasterCard also is pleased to announce that Mr. Charamporn Jotikasthira, Chairman of the Executive Board, Electronic Transactions Development Agency and President, The Stock Exchange of Thailand will provide the special keynote address to those in attendance.
In addition to the special keynote address, attendees will be able to experience many thought-provoking breakout sessions and presentations. Industry experts will take delegates through an in-depth look at global fraud issues and cutting-edge solutions to unique challenges specific to the regions represented.
In particular, marquee conference sessions will explore a wide range of pressing data security issues, including mobile payment security considerations, the impact of ongoing global chip technology migration, new advancements in e-commerce data security, and global and regional fraud trends. As MasterCard reported, attendees also will receive a copy of the 2012 edition of MasterCard ’s Security Matters magazine, containing insights and best practices on a wide variety of payment card security and fraud management topics.
