Nicki will lead a team of relationship directors tasked with providing lending and banking support to the Business Services sector. As Barclays said, she replaces Mike Daniels, who has been promoted to Head of London, Corporate Banking.

Barclays was the first UK bank to introduce a team dedicated to providing banking services to facilities management, business process outsourcing, recruitment consultancy and payment services firms.

On her appointment, Nicki Thomson said: “This is a diverse sector and the businesses within it all have varied needs. Barclays recognised the sector’s necessity for a dedicated team of banking specialists with expert knowledge and experience more than a decade ago - as a founding member of that team it is a privilege to now be leading the business as we look to continue our support”.

Nicki started her career in Oxford working for Barclays Retail & Business Banking before moving to London six years later and joining Corporate Banking.
