Farmers’ Hall, Fletchers’ Hall and Coopers’ Hall are offering the unplugged service, with a name inspired by MTV’s acoustic music sets, free of charge.

As Caterer and Hotelkeeper announced, they will "babysit" the BlackBerrys, iPhones, tablets, Android devices and other mobile gadgets of all attendees so that meetings can be conducted free from electronic interruption.

The came from Kate McIntosh, from venue-finding company It’s The Agency, part of CH&Co, who said: “Businesses that want to plug into better quality meetings should quite simply unplug the technology that is inhibiting this.”
