In his new role, Rubinstein will work closely with Chamber members on federal regulatory reform and data quality, nanotechnology, chemical and food safety, and environmental quality issues.

“Reed’s resume speaks for itself,” said Bill Kovacs, senior vice president of Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs for the U.S. Chamber. “His proven and tested advocacy skills, and the broad legal and regulatory experience gained over the course of his 25-year career, make him a valuable asset to the Chamber and its members.”

Rubinstein began practicing law in 1985. He has spent much of the past decade as a shareholder in the Washington D.C. office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where he practiced environmental and administrative law, litigation, and corporate and real estate law.

Rubinstein is regularly published and has spoken around the world on topics including regulatory trends, federal incentives for clean and alternative technologies, and occupational health regulations. He has practiced in numerous federal District and Appellate courts around the country, and is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Virginia, Michigan, and Connecticut.

Rubinstein received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his M.A. in political science from Michigan’s Rackham School of Graduate Studies. He also received his undergraduate degree from Michigan.
