Zurich appoints Ann Haugh to the position of Chief of Staff

The FINANCIAL -- Zurich Insurance Group announced the appointment of Ann Haugh (41, U.S. Citizen), currently CEO of Global Corporate in the UK, to the position of Chief of Staff, effective August 1, 2012. She will report to Martin Senn, Chief Executive Officer, and will be based in Zurich.

In this newly created position, Ms. Haugh will be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of Corporate Communications, Group Human Resources, Group Marketing and Group Strategy.

Ms. Haugh joined Zurich the first time in 1996 in the Specialties division in North America, where she served in several underwriting and management roles until 2002. She then spent several years as Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Operating Officer in the Executive Assurance Division of Arch Insurance Company in the U.S. In 2007, she rejoined Zurich as COO of Global Corporate in North America, and in 2009, was named COO of Global Corporate. Ms. Haugh assumed her current position as CEO Global Corporate in the UK in February 2011.

As Zurich Insurance Group reported, Ms. Haugh holds a bachelors degree in communication studies and journalism from Northwestern University, USA.
