Number of the MICEX Index's constituents determined

The FINANCIAL -- On November 21, 2012 the Directorate of the CJSC MICEX Stock Exchange determined the number of securities on the MICEX Index constituents list which shall take effect on December 18, 2012.

According to the decision of the Directorate, the reviewed list of constituents will include 50 securities. The opportunity to change the number of constituents is provided for in the current Rules for calculation of the MICEX Index.

The decision is made regarding the launch of the approved unification of the MOSCOW Exchange index calculation methodology. As MOSCOW Exchange reported, the new methodology considers the MICEX Index and the RTS Index to be calculated based upon the constituents list of 50 most capitalized stocks and outstanding stocks that meet the requirements of the relevant liquidity level.
