The FINANCIAL -- The overall Western European large-format printer market contracted in the second quarter of 2013 (2Q13), with shipments falling 14.6% year on year, according to International Data Corporation (IDC).

The technical sector continues to be the largest market in Western Europe, with a more than 65% share of the application type. The market declined by 4.4% year on year in 2Q13, however. The graphics segment also declined by around 30% in 2Q13 year on year, according to IDC.

The top 3 vendors in Western Europe in 2Q13 were HP, Canon, and Epson, accounting for 83.7% of total large-format printer shipments.
