(via finchannel.com) -- Batumi Oil Terminal LTD providing the transshipment services of crude oil and petroleum products at Batumi, has received the international certificates for compliance with requirements of the international standards ISO 9001:2008 (Quality management system), ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental management system) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Operational health and safety management system).
The certification process has been implemented under the supervision of the Bureau Veritas Ltd that is a leading certification body.
The main business activity of Batumi Oil Terminal LTD is the transshipment of crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gases taking into consideration the requirements of all the stakeholders. In this regard we strive to continual improvement of the working conditions and industrial safety, perform a wide range of environmental activities aimed to mitigate adverse environmental impacts of historical and current pollution factors on the environment.
Having developed and implemented the management systems, “Batumi Oil Terminal LTD” advanced the internal requirements, conducted training of the staff and re-engineered internal business processes within the management systems, defined controls for environmental activities and industrial risks.
Marketing and Development Director of Bureau Veritas of Black Sea District, Ashot Arutunian, mentioned: ”This is the second company in the history of Bureau Veritas and the first company in Georgia that could receive 3 certificates simultaneously. We are very proud with these results”.
In February 2008 JSC “KasTransOil” (subsidiary of JSC “National Company “KazMunaiGas”) purchased 100% shares of Batumi Industrial Holdings Limited, one of its main industrial subdivisions is “Batumi Oil Terminal LTD”.
