Kodak will also be exhibiting at Booth 400 during the concurrent two-day vendor fair. With a variety of solutions that help in-plant printers streamline their operations and add revenue-enhancing services, KODAK understands the unique demands that drive this changing market.

“In-plant printers are under increasing pressure to improve efficiencies, to seek out new applications to maximize their technology investments and budgets,” said Blee Nichols, KODAK ’s Manager of News, Government and Enterprise Group. “The IPMA 2012 event will provide attendees with insight on the latest trends as well as solutions on which they can build a more successful operation. At the KODAK booth, we’ll have experts on hand to speak with customers, understand their challenges, and review the latest products.”

On Tuesday, June 26, at 4:00 p.m., KODAK ’s United States and Canada Marketing Director Rick Mazur will speak on the topic of “Take Charge of Your Future,” focusing on how to adapt in today’s competitive in-plant market while becoming a strategic marketing partner. Successful in-plant printers are expanding beyond print to communications services to become more strategic providers to their customers and avoid falling victim to the “cut costs and outsource” trends in the marketplace. Mazur’s session is part of IPMA 2012’s overall theme, “A Fountain of Knowledge.”

In-plant printers around the world already rely on KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Presses, and will benefit further from new announcements such as a new turbo mode, 36″/914 mm long-sheet option and KODAK NEXPRESS Intelligent Calibration System version 3 software, all designed to help improve image quality, application flexibility and production speed. The NEXPRESS Platform, which prints on nearly 800 supported substrates out of the box, also offers unique field upgradability, which minimizes risk and avoids technology obsolescence.

All NEXPRESS Presses come equipped with Print Genius, a suite of productivity and quality-control tools. In addition, the KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions enable spot colors, KODAK ’s unique in-line dimensional printing, high-quality gloss, in-line watermarking, or coating in a single pass. And newly announced gold and pearlescent effects will deliver additional impact to printed pieces.

In-plant printers also benefit from the improved efficiency and productivity delivered by KODAK PRINERGY Workflow. According to KODAK , for large jobs or short runs, conventional or digital, PRINERGY Workflow uses JDF to share job data, imposition, and page assignment information with content preparation, production planning, prepress, and business systems. It helps reduce costs and build a more efficient environment with improved control and automation based on industry-standard specifications.
