The FINANCIAL -- For the second year in a row, Corporate Responsibility
magazine, one of the nation’s leading independent voices on corporate
citizenship, has named Accenture as one of the top
government suppliers.
Ranked second on the list of “the Best Corporate Citizens in Government Contracting,” Accenture was recognized for its proactive and dedicated social responsibility and transparency efforts when supporting and working with government agencies.
Corporate Responsibility (CR) magazine’s annual Best Corporate Citizens list measures companies against 318 different elements in seven weighted categories: climate change, employee relations, environment, financial, governance, human rights and philanthropy.
“We are honored to be recognized again by CR magazine. Corporate citizenship is a fundamental part of Accenture’s mission and guiding principles and we are committed to living up to those standards when serving our government clients,” said Stephen J. Rohleder, group chief executive for Accenture’s Health & Public Service operating group.
According to Accenture, the magazine ranked 40 contracting and consulting companies regularly doing business with the U.S. government.
Accenture’s federal business serves every cabinet-level department and 20 of the largest federal organizations. The U.S. federal portfolio spans across clients in civilian, defense, intelligence and public safety agencies. Accenture works with state and local governments and agencies across the United States, providing a wide range of management and technology services for administrative operations, human services and public health projects.
