The enhanced training offering will compliment the other Thomson Reuters Accelus solutions designed specifically for banking, brokerage and securities firms including Compliance Complete and Accelus Compliance Manager.

The Firm Element requires that firms who employ individuals involved in the selling and trading of securities or who are involved in investment banking activity must establish a formal training program to keep those individuals up-to-date on job, product and regulation-related subjects. As Thomson Reuters reported, this will, for the first time, provide access for users of Thomson Reuters Accelus Training Solutions to the entire catalogue of FINRA’s Firm Element training modules.

Thomson Reuters Accelus Training Solution delivers comprehensive and cost-effective training programs that combine expert content with interactive and engaging delivery to help firms meet their compliance and regulatory training needs. Fully customizable courses are available that cover a wide range of topics in categories including Induction & Awareness, Financial Crime, Business Conduct and Governance & Risk Management, and have been delivered in 11 different languages and to over 600,000 users globally. Coupled with this, FINRA’s online courses uniquely blend their knowledge of securities rules and regulations with industry expertise on how those rules can be practically applied in the workplace.

“With ever-changing regulatory requirements, compliance officers are challenged to satisfy the delivery of training and tracking of completion of compliance courses,” said Mark Schlageter, managing director, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Thomson Reuters. “Leveraging the leading content from FINRA enables us to further develop our interactive and engaging training solutions to drive enterprise-wide learning, retention, understanding and regulatory adoption across our clients’ businesses.”
