| Only yesterday Ukrainians were not concerned with swine flu pandemic – telephone survey results |

The FINANCIAL -- According to the press release passed by Gorshenin Institute to UNIAN, only yesterday almost half of Ukrainian s didn’t think that A/H1N1 would come to Ukraine . Those were the results of the phone survey “Immunization in Ukraine ” conducted by Gorshenin Institute on 26/10/09-28/10/09.
According to the survey results the absolute majority of Ukrainian s (92.7%) have heard about the swine flu. Only 3.1% of respondents have not heard about this pandemic. 4.2% could not answer the question. The same survey conducted by Gorshenin Institute on 05/05/09-05/08/09 showed that 85.3 % of Ukrainian s have heard about the swine flu pandemic, 6.5 % have never heard about it and 8.2% of respondents could not answer the question.
As to the possibility of the swine flu pandemic in Ukraine , almost half of Ukrainian s (49.2%) think it might happen, 46.3 % are sure it’s not likely. 4.5% of respondents could not answer the question. To compare – according to the results of the May survey 45.7% of Ukrainian s believed that the swine flu pandemic would come to Ukraine , 41.6% were of the contrary opinion and 8.2% could not answer the question.
The survey “Immunization in Ukraine ” was conducted by Gorshenin Institute among 1000 respondents age 18 or older representing all 25 regional centers with the margin of error no higher then 3.2%.
