The FINANCIAL — Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline on May 12 announced the appointment of Aero-Care Flight Support as its new ground handling company across its New Zealand operations.
This includes operations related to ramp and customer services, aircraft cleaning and baggage claim in Auckland, Christchurch and the Fijian carrier’s soon-to-be launched Wellington services. Aero-Care was selected after a tender process, according to Fiji Airways.
Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways Board Director commented: “We are excited to enter into a new partnership with an experienced ground handling company like Aero-Care for our New Zealand operations. Customer service and on-time performance are key deliverables for us so we want to work with partners like Aero-Care that recognise and understand our service requirements, this is very important to us”.

Aero-Care will begin handling Fiji Airways flights from Wellington from the outset (June 25th), and take over Auckland and Christchurch operations from September 1st.
Fiji Airways flies 15 times a week from Auckland, once from Christchurch (increasing to two per week from June 23rd) and twice from Wellington (upon commencement on June 25th).
