The FINANCIAL -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) on October 30 announces the opening of Sheraton Mendoza Hotel in Mendoza, Argentina, a popular tourist destination in the foothills of the Andes and one of the country’s most important provincial capital cities.
Highlighting the Sheraton brand’s continued revitalization and aggressive global expansion, Sheraton Mendoza Hotel is the eighth property to join the brand’s growing portfolio in Argentina. Sheraton Mendoza Hotel occupies a sleek, 17-story tower, the tallest building in Mendoza. The hotel features 180 spacious guest rooms with either cityscapes or dramatic mountain views, a premium spa, ample meeting facilities and the full range of Sheraton signature comforts and services.
Sheraton Mendoza Hotel boasts a strategic location in the city’s financial district, within walking distance of the Plaza Independencia and the city’s main historic sites. The new hotel is also just seven miles from Mendoza International Airport and convenient to businesses and shopping areas. The center of Argentina’s wine industry, Mendoza Province is known for its unique Malbec wines and spectacular natural attractions including Mount Aconcagua and world-class skiing in nearby Potrerillos.
