According to SANYO , the iF Design Awards are internationally recognized, and are awarded not only based on outward design, but also on functionality, environmental consciousness shown, ease of use, and innovation among other comprehensive judging criterion. An awards ceremony will be formally held during the CeBIT Show in Hanover, Germany on March 3, 2009 to publicly announce the winners and present the awards. SANYO has already received high international acclaim for its product concept designs that show consideration for the environment based on its brand vision ‘Think GAIA’, and has plans to continue to develop products that are environmentally conscious not only in function and performance, but in concept and design.
