| Hip hop harmony comes to LSE for interfaith week |

The FINANCIAL -- A Muslim-Jewish hip hop collective are performing at LSE as part of an interfaith week which aims to bring out the common cultural links between religions.
According to LSE, the week of events is organised by the Three Faith Forum in conjunction with the Students’ Union and the LSE Chaplaincy and also includes a panel discussion on the changing landscapes of Jewish, Christian and Muslim relations.
They will be live at 6pm on Tuesday 24 February in the Chaplaincy (room G9, 20 Kingsway).
Also in the Chaplaincy, this time at 1.15pm on Wednesday (25 February) is an event entitled Experience Ash Wednesday Mass.
And at 6pm on Thursday (26 February) is the debate on relations between the three faiths, organised with the support of the Christian Union and the SU’s Islamic, Catholic and Jewish Societies. The discussion, in room A316, will feature Dawn Butler MP, a Government Whip and Minister at the Department for Children, Schools and Families, Dr Ed Kessler, Director of the Woolf Institute of Abrahamic Faiths and the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, Financial Secretary to the Treasury and Labour Vice-Chair for Faith Groups.
The event is organised as part of the Three Faiths Forum ‘Parliamentors’ programme which brings together students from the three Abrahamic faiths to work on projects with the guidance of an MP as a mentor.
Joseph Brown, Anti-Racism Officer for the Students' Union, said: 'The LSE is a bastion of international diversity with a strong tradition of inter-cultural discussion and lively debate, but we are also a place of tolerance and understanding. Events such as the interfaith week are a testament to this and the Union is very proud to host it.'
