UkrSibbank to Increase Its Authorized Capital

The FINANCIAL -- On June 19, 2012, the amendments to the Charter of JSC UkrSibbank were publicly registered as the bank increased its authorized capital to UAH 8.87 bn.

The bank’s authorized capital has been increased by private placement of 27.2 bn ordinary registered shares totaling UAH 1.36 bn. According to BNP Paribas , the shares were then purchased by shareholders with substantial participation in UkrSibbank: BNP Paribas (84.99%) and EBRD (15%), proportionally to their participation in the bank’s authorized capital.

"UkrSibbank’s robustness and also its capital means available for the development of the bank, are bolstered by this new capital increase, fully subscribed by its major shareholders, BNP Paribas and EBRD, and thus strengthening our position in Ukraine ’s financial market and demonstrates UkrSibbank’s vigor and stability to our potential and current clients,” said Philippe Joannier, Chairman of the Management Board of UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group.
