The FINANCIAL -- Taking into account market demand Bank Constanta has added new branches throughout Georgia.
At the moment Bank Constanta is represented by thirty-four branches across the country, eight of them are located in Tbilisi while twenty-four are in different regions. Bank Constanta plans to unveil twenty new branches in 2012 and thereby increase their total number to fifty by 2013.
“Agro business is developing not only in the regions but in Tbilisi as well. This is proven by the growing portfolio of Bank Constanta,” said Tamar Lebanidze, Chair of the Supervisory Board at Bank Constanta. “We respond to our customers’ needs and open branches where the demand is high. We opened two branches in Tbilisi in May because of the growing demand for the products Constanta offers customers,” she added.
“The financial service provided by us will develop a concrete business,” said Levan Lebanidze, the General Director of Bank Constanta. “We offer full banking service to our customers throughout Georgia. Small business is dynamic in rural areas as well as in the capital city. The difference is that demand is higher in the regions than in Tbilisi , because supply is less in rural areas. Therefore we are working on increasing supply in the regions. As a result of our activities small business is increasing in Georgia. We see that our customers’ businesses are increasing with time. Consequently our customers’ and their family members’ social conditions are improving as well,” he added.
It is possible to obtain full banking services in Bank Constanta’s branches in both credit and operational areas. Customers will be offered the options of utilization, service reports, using deposits, remittances and utility payments. All these services will be provided in the freshly designed and comfortable branches of Bank Constanta.
“The new branches meet the new concept of Bank Constanta to provide maximum comfort and to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers,” said Giorgi Dondoladze, Manager of the newly opened branch located at 2 Baratashvili Street. “Our goal is to give proper service to our current customers and attract new ones. We have developed a completely new conceptual structure. All the branches of Bank Constanta will have the same structure where customers will receive the highest quality of financial service. We hope that the new branches will support residents of Tbilisi as well as the region to develop their businesses,” he added.
At present three branches operate in the Imereti region - in Kutaisi, Zestaponi and Samtredia. Bank Constanta officials claim that in terms of business development, the Imereti region is very promising. This is proved by the constantly-growing number of Bank Constanta’s customers and loan portfolio.
Because of the market demand, six new branches have already opened, in Rustavi, Tsnori, Bolnisi, Gardabani, Terjola and Tsalka respectively. Two branches opened in Tbilisi are located on Baratashvili Street and Vaja-Pshavela Avenue.
“As we are founders our role is to support Bank Constanta’s capital growth and help it to expand in Georgia,” said Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, General Director of TBC Bank . TBC Bank is in possession of 83 percent of Bank Constanta’s shares.
“We are supporting Bank Constanta in having a large branch network in a very short period of time. We see that there is big demand for Bank Constanta’s products in rural areas. So the Bank should expand there,” he added.
“We are very excited to be with Constanta and to see its growth on the market,” said Amber O’Connell, Microfinance Officer at Oikocredit. Oikocredit is one of the largest financiers of microfinance worldwide. Oikocredit now holds an 11 percent share in the Georgian microfinance institution Bank Constanta, making it the Bank’s first foreign shareholder.
“We are very proud to see how Bank Constanta encourages small and medium business in Georgia. We see that the Bank achieves all its goals and has big success in its operations. We see that the financial sector is growing in Georgia. There are many common things between our goals and missions that are only continuing to grow. Oikocredit is delighted to be the first international shareholder in Bank Constanta. We are confident that we will continue building on the mission of both organizations and extend the reach of credit and savings services even further,” she added.
