The FINANCIAL -- The fast growing Four Points by Sheraton brand, part of the
Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (HOT) portfolio, has opened
its latest U.S. hotel with the launch of Four Points by Sheraton San
Diego Downtown.
The new Four Points is a conversion from an existing hotel , following a formula that has seen Four Points by Sheraton expand to more than 160 hotels around the world, with 24 additional hotels scheduled to open in 2012 alone. The Four Points brand, offering a “best for business” proposition for travelers seeking great hotels at great rates, has grown to become the second largest pipeline among all Starwood brands.
According to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, four Points by Sheraton San Diego Downtown features 220 rooms, 1,400 square feet of meeting facilities, a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor heated pool , and the First Avenue Bar & Grill. As one of the last true “round” hotels in San Diego, the Four Points by Sheraton features gorgeous 360-degree views of San Diego Bay and downtown, including extensive views from its top-floor meeting room.
