Hilton to open new hotel at Wembley this month

The FINANCIAL -- Hilton has unveiled details of its new hotel in Wembley, which is due to launch later this month adjacent to Wembley Stadium and the forthcoming London Designer Outlet.

Set to open ahead of schedule and in time for the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Hilton London Wembley will feature 361 bedrooms, including 18 suites, with room rates starting at £99.

With a Great British theme at its heart, the hotel will feature furniture and exclusive artwork by British artists and designers throughout. The general manager is Jack Nicholas.

The Hilton London Wembley will include the 280-seat Association restaurant offering a modern British menu with views of Wembley Stadium, as well as the Icons Bar and the 150-cover Sky Bar 9 for private functions.

As Caterer and Hotelkeeper reported, business facilities will comprise a dedicated executive floor, with 10 meeting rooms and a boardroom, while the hotel's ballroom will have a capacity of up to 660 guests for dinner functions.

Leisure facilities will include the Living Well Health Club, which will be open to hotel guests as well as the public, featuring a 12-metre pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and 24-hour gym.

John Rogers, vice president operation UK at Hilton Worldwide, commented: "Hilton London Wembley is a landmark hotel at the heart of the revitalisation of Wembley, which will play a pivotal role in turning the area into a leisure destination of choice.

"This latest London opening for Hilton Worldwide will increase our presence to more than 30 hotels across the capital and provide a unique and high quality Hilton experience, setting the tone for the future of Wembley."
