![]() The FINANCIAL -- 112 is the number to call from anywhere in the European Union in case of emergency, with the exception of Italy. As only 25% of Europeans know that they can call 112 in case of a problem, Air France wants to inform its passengers, as they may need this service when travelling abroad.
According to the Air France, whatever the country and the problem encountered, calling 112 enables customers to be located geographically and be put in touch with the closest police, ambulance or fire department. This toll-free number, available without credit or network coverage, is accessible from a landline or mobile phone. Several European call centres, answering mostly in English, also have translation services.
