The FINANCIAL -- A hotel operator or investor is being sought to help launch a new 120-bedroom luxury hotel at the Bretton Hall estate, within the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP).
Leeds-based developer Rushbond is submitting a planning application this week for the planned hotel in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, alongside a 100,000sq ft business park.
Set within 500 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland, the hotel will be located within the existing Georgian mansion house of Bretton Hall and a contemporary new building housing a bedroom wing.
According to Caterer and Hotelkeeper, its design has been created by Rushbond working in conjunction with Wakefield architects DLA and London-based hotel consultants EPR.
Jonathan Maud, managing director of Rushbond, said: "The submission of the planning application is an important milestone in our shared vision sympathetically to transform Bretton Hall into a truly stunning hotel/business park opportunity, in a unique landscape, that will attract new businesses to the region and create long term sustainable employment."
