As Caterer and Hotelkeeper reported, the new restaurant will open in the current site of its Sea Grill restaurant in the Meat & Fish Hall.

Bentley's, which first opened in 1916, will be recreated at Harrods with design features such as oyster shell lamps, linen drapes and classic silver tableware and cutlery.

The menu will focus on top-quality seafood and fish including a selection of hot rock oysters. A dedicated seafood cocktail section will include dressed crab or lobster, melon and cucumber, while grill will offer fish including wild salmon, wild sea bass, John Dory or Dover Sole served with a choice of sauces. The menu will also feature the Bentley's classic Royal fish pie.

Corrigan said: "I'm hugely thrilled by the launch of Bentley's Sea Grill at Harrods. These are two iconic brands, which hold a shared vision of fantastic food and brilliant service. It really is Britishness at its best.

"Lobster, fish and chips or fish pie means there is something for everyone. The impressive changes in the food offering in Harrods over the past 12 months are really exciting and we are looking forward to the journey."

Paul Goodale, director of restaurants at Harrods, added: "We are delighted to be working with Richard on the launch of Bentley's Sea Grill. Bentley's has always played a key role within the London dining scene and the launch of a second site within Harrods will be an excellent addition to the food halls."
