The FINANCIAL -- Soho House Group is
looking to expand its namesake members' club on Greek Street by taking
over Kettner's next door.
According to a report in the Sunday Telegraph, the company, owned by Nick Jones, Richard Caring and American billionaire Ron Burkle, intends to hold talks with Gondola Holdings, owner of PizzaExpress, about acquiring the lease to the Kettner's building.
If taken over by Soho House, Kettner's, which is spread over three floors and currently comprises a restaurant and bar, would see the addition of bedrooms and a swimming pool.
A spokesman for Soho House confirmed to the Sunday Telegraph that the group was looking at Kettner's but stressed that it was involved in "very early stage exploratory conversations".
Soho House currently runs clubs in Soho and Shoreditch as well as Berlin, New York, Miami and West Hollywood. As Caterer and Hotelkeeper reported, new clubs will open in Toronto, Barcelona, Chicago, Istanbul and Mumbai in the next two years.
