The FINANCIAL -- Justin Huber has been appointed general manager of
the four-star, 98-bedroom Rougemont hotel in Exeter, a Thistle property.
Prior to joining the hotel, Huber was area manager – hospitality, London & South East with the National Trust, where he was responsible for the catering at 37 properties.
Huber previously held operational and sales and marketing roles with Holiday Inn, Thistle, Granada, and Fuller Smith & Turner.
Rejoining Thistle – one of two brands operated by Guoman Hotels - after a gap of 20 years, Huber said was “an easy choice as the company is embarking on some exciting times under the direction of the new chief executive Mike de Noma.
“The opportunity to run the Rougemont was one I could not ignore. Exeter is a fantastic city and the hotel has a brilliant team who, whilst young, are incredibly capable and enthusiastic.”
As Caterer and Hotelkeeper said, Huber is the son of John Huber, the celebrated pastry chef, who died earlier this year.
