The FINANCIAL — Kodak customers took home 25 of 67 medals at the 2015 In-Plant Printing Mailing Association (IPMA) In-Plant Awards ceremony on June 15 in Orlando, Florida. The In-Plant Awards recognize the simple, everyday achievements of in-house corporate publishing, printing and distribution professionals. IPMA is the only professional association dedicated exclusively to the needs of all in-house corporate publishing, printing and distribution professionals, providing expert educational and networking forums for its members.
Long standing Kodak customer Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) had the honors of winning the ‘Best in Show Digital Award’ as well as receiving a ‘Runner Up’ nomination for its Information Management Symposium and its Document Services 2015 Bound Calendar, respectively. Out of the three pieces vying for ‘Best in Show’, the two Excellus BCBS projects were both printed using the KODAK NEXPRESS SX3300 Digital Production Color Press, according to Kodak.
To pick the winners, judges consider the degree of difficulty required to print a job, and often consult the entry forms to see which equipment was used. Kodak technology produced eleven gold medal winners along with nine silver and five bronze, amounting to more awards than any other vendor in the Digital Category and the most wins overall. Customers across a number of industries leveraged the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Press Platform, KODAK SONORA XP Process Free Plates, KODAK PRINERGY Workflow and Computer to Plate (CTP) technologies to create this year’s award winning projects.
While an impressive and growing number of award wins showcases positive momentum for Kodak, it is the variety of solutions recognized that truly displays the impact of Kodak’s expertise across a broad spectrum of verticals. IPMA’s acknowledgment further communicates the value and results Kodak customers are seeing when implementing KODAK Solutions throughout every aspect of the printing process, solidifying Kodak as a leader in digital print.
