The FINANCIAL -- In April 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 287 560 passengers or +26% more than in the same period of 2016 throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
During the first four months of 2017, airBaltic has transported a total of 876 328 passengers.
In April the airline operated 4 043 flights, or +9% more than in the same period of 2016, when airBaltic operated 3 694 flights. During the first four months of 2017 the airline has operated 14 203 flights, according to airBaltic.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at a level of 77% in April, 2017. During the first four months of 2017, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 69%.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 90,1% in April, 2017. This means that more than 90 of every 100 airBaltic flights in April departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
This summer, airBaltic adds 13 new routes to its network, including destinations like Madrid, Geneva, Aberdeen, Tampere, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Kazan, Catania and Liepaja.
