The FINANCIAL — New potato chips factory has started full operating in Tbilisi. On July 29, Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia together with Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister of Georgia inspected the enterprise. Otar Danelia, Minister of Agriculture of Georgia and representatives of state offices and private structures also visited the factory.
According to the information provided by the company, three types of potato chips named FRIXX Classic, FRIXX Barbeque and FRIXX Adjika are produced at the factory. The company began testing products in March, 2015 and started producing in the end of the month. The owner of the factory is a famous businessman Jean-Frederick Paulsen who is also the founder of the Wellington LLC.
“It is very important that new technologies are being established and European investors are implementing a number of investments in Georgia. The company buys local raw materials that will surely boost the sales. The owner of this enterprise carries out serious investments to restore Mukhrani historical complex where one of the tourist directions will be established. One and a half million USD has already been allocated and investments are going to continue also in the future” – Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
Currently, about 25 people are employed at the enterprise. According to the company’s representatives, the number of employees will increasem, according to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
