The FINANCIAL — As at 07:00 am of Sunday, February 28, still flooded remained 280 private houses and 1,916 farmsteads after heavy precipitations in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Luhansk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the Emergency Situations and Protection of Population from Chornobyl Disaster Consequences Ministry.
According to the statement, most of the private houses that remained flooded – 245 houses – were in Kherson region. Twenty-eight houses remained flooded in Dnipropetrovsk region, five houses in Mykolaiv region, and two houses in Luhansk region.
The statement reads that 966 drainage pump stations were installed in the said regions.
According to the statement, 227 employees and 82 units of machinery were engaged in the cleanup works as at the date.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, as of February 27, 07:00 am, 310 private houses and 2,379 farmsteads were flooded in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Luhansk and Dnipropetrovsk regions and in Crimea because of heavy precipitations.
