The FINANCIAL — The day of love is just around the corner and the latest Rasmussen Reports survey reveals that what the the majority (68%) of American Adults would like most is to dine with someone special for Valentine’s Day.
Only 10% would rather receive chocolate candy instead of quality time with dinner, and five percent (5%) would prefer flowers.
What they want, however, may not necessarily be what they’ll get. Only 30% of adults expect to go out for a special Valentine’s Day meal, but 57% will not.
Eighteen percent (18%) plan to send someone flowers for Valentine’s Day, but just 11% expect to receive them.
Half (50%) of adults will send someone a Valentine’s Day card this year. Among those who are sending a special card, 87% will send the traditional type while only eight percent (8%) will send and e-card.
Most (79%) adults say they won’t be going out of town to celebrate the special occasion, but 12% will enjoy a nice rendezvous.
Overall, the figures are relatively unchanged from a year ago.
