Civil.Ge — Year-to-year inflation hit a 24-month high of 9.5% by the end of August, Georgian statistics office, Geostat, said on September 6.
Annual inflation was 7% in July, according to the Georgian central bank and Geostat.
PM Nika Gilauri said at a government meeting on September 1, that inflation was mainly triggered mainly by rising food prices.
