The FINANCIAL — As part of his visit to Brussels, Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani held a meeting with European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos, according to MFA of Georgia.
Discussions focused on the visa-liberalization process. The Georgian delegation provided the European Commissioner with information regarding Georgia’s fulfilment of the requirements under the VLAP. The Georgian Foreign Minister reaffirmed the political importance of introducing visa free travel with the EU countries.
European Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos highly appraised the reforms carried out in Georgia, especially in the VLAP context. He emphasized Georgia’s leading role within the Eastern Partnership and expressed the hope that Georgia’s efforts will be duly recognized by the EU and Georgia will receive positive assessment.
