The FINANCIAL — Prada celebrates the reopening of its recently renovated Rio de Janeiro store, located inside the prestigious Village Mall.
In the new space – along with the ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, and footwear collections for women – a selection of the men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, and footwear collections is now also available, according to Prada.
The store covers a total area of 540 square metres and is characterised by an external fac?ade clad in black veined Marquinia marble framing the display windows and the impressive entrance, which offer a glimpse of the interior gallery.
The main space, defined by the signature black-and-white marble chequered flooring, reveals a succession of rooms arranged along a gallery with marble-clad walls and mirrored details. The rooms feature different atmospheres, perfectly reflecting either the female world or the male one, and exalting the products, showcased in an alluring and sophisticated setting.
The areas dedicated to the women’s collections are characterised by green fabric-clad walls with cut-in display niches framed by polished steel profiles. Crystal and steel counters with coloured saffiano leather detailing complete the furnishing.
Precious round crystal tables and green velvet “Clover Leaf” sofas, designed by Verner Panton and reproduced exclusively for Prada, define the area dedicated to the women’s footwear collections.
The women’s ready-to-wear collections are presented in a space characterised by original displays featuring sleek transparent profiles, uniquely shaped tables and fine perspex skylights.
The new areas dedicated to the men’s collections are defined by green fabric-clad walls with precious polished steel cases, display counters with drawers covered in coloured saffiano leather and blue ostrich leather sofas.
