The FINANCIAL — Accenture has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the eighth consecutive year. The national competition determines which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.
Accenture is consistently recognized in Canada and around the world as an employer of choice. For instance, the company has been named to FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Companies for 16 consecutive years, DiversityInc’s for 12 consecutive years, and the Thomson Reuters Diversity & Inclusion Index for three consecutive years — placing first this year.
Some new programs and initiatives that contribute to Accenture continuing to be recognized as an employer of choice include:
New innovative environment: Accenture moved into a new space in downtown Toronto at Scotia Plaza. This new office accommodates more employees and enables the company’s people to work collaboratively with clients using the newest workplace technologies. The space keeps up with Accenture’s commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and is uniquely “Toronto,” with local art, featuring more than 30 living walls, and breathtaking views of the city.
Speak Up campaign: Accenture launched its Speak Up campaign in December 2017 to emphasize Accenture’s values in creating a space that is inclusive to all. Accenture people wear green buttons and stickers that read “Speak Up — Conduct Counts” that promote the campaign — which serves as a catalyst for conversations to speak up against inappropriate conduct.
Cleaning up our community: Community involvement is one of the biggest drivers of employee engagement at Accenture. In the past year, 275 Accenture volunteers from the Toronto and Mississauga offices travelled to Humber Bay Park East in Mimico, Toronto, for a community clean-up activity. Partnering with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), the group collected 286 pounds of garbage along the Humber Bay East shoreline to help ensure it was clean and safe for everyone to enjoy its natural beauty.
