The FINANCIAL — Accenture has been named a leader for life sciences digital information technology (IT) in Everest Group’s recent report: Life Sciences Digital IT Services – Service Provider Landscape with PEAK Matrix Assessment 2015: Scaling the Next Frontier.
The report assessed 15 life science digital IT service providers based on their market successes and life sciences digital IT delivery capabilities. Accenture received the highest positioning, according to Accenture.
“The digital Kool-Aid is sweeping the technology sphere, and life sciences customers are increasingly looking at vertical contextualization to realize true benefits,” said Abhishek Singh, Practice Director, Healthcare & Life Sciences IT Services, Everest Group. “Accenture combines its distinctive focus on digital services with expertise across the life sciences value chain to provide a compelling value proposition for clients.”
The report emphasizes the increasing importance of drivers of digital adoption in life sciences companies worldwide, the digitization needs in the life sciences industry value chain and a focus of life science buyers on digitization. The report argues that as a result, life science companies are demanding analytics, data consolidation and infrastructure and application modernization services.
“To capture the bigger prize offered by digital, companies from within and outside the traditional life sciences industry are embracing digital and are dramatically changing the healthcare industry,” said Anne O’Riordan, industry managing director, Accenture Life Sciences. “It is a ‘both-and’ proposition. It is about both growth and efficiency and creating new combinations of information, business resources and digital technologies to produce innovative outcomes.”
