The FINANCIAL — SAN FRANCISCO; Oct. 3, 2011 –Accenture was today awarded two Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) North America Titan Awards for 2011 at Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2011.
Accenture was honored for its work in technology momentum, and manufacturing and distribution. Oracle began awarding Titan Awards in 2004 to recognize their channel partners for their ability to deliver Oracle solutions and services that drive business and customer value. Since then, Accenture has won a total of 11 Oracle North America Titan Awards. This is its fourth award for technology momentum in six years. Oracle recognized Accenture for:
Technology Momentum: This award recognizes Accenture’s efforts to increase customer acceptance and market share of Oracle Database and Fusion Middleware. Over the past year, Accenture’s technology investments included the innovative Accenture Foundation Platform for Oracle, plus continued investment in the Accenture Public Service Platform, Security and Smart Grid. Accenture is a Diamond level partner – the highest level available in OPN – and has completed 29 Specializations and five Advanced Specializations.
Manufacturing and Distribution: Utilizing the Oracle E-Business Suite, Accenture helped communications and electronics giant Motorola Mobility simplify, standardize and consolidate numerous highly customized and complex legacy ERP systems that provided the company with the agility and speed-to-market capabilities it needed to launch Motorola Mobility in the fast-paced mobile device industry.
This year’s winners were selected from over 215 nominations in 29 categories submitted by Oracle business partners. Accenture will receive the awards at a special ceremony on October 4.
“This is an exciting time to be working with Oracle and we’re thrilled to be recognized for our technology excellence and accomplishments in helping clients succeed with Oracle solutions,” said Terri Strauss, managing director, North America Oracle Practice. “We’re proud that our teams go to work every day not just to deliver solutions, but to solve real-world challenges faced by our clients. It’s rewarding to see how much their contribution makes a difference.”
“Oracle’s valued partner community in North America continues to reach new levels of expertise and innovation in developing and implementing Oracle technologies and delivering value-added services to joint customers,” said Ted Bereswill, Oracle senior vice president of North America Alliances and Channels. “This year’s Titan Award winners reflect the powerful combination that Oracle and our specialized partners bring to customers across the enterprise and distinct industries.”
