The FINANCIAL — Аeroflot – Russian airlines, from November, 27 2007 to January, 8 2008 to fly the pilgrims from Russia on hadj to Jidda and back, company said on Friday. On especially organized TU-154 aircrafts Aeroflot will fly nearly 1600 pilgrims.
The first route Mineralnie Vodi-Jidda-Mineralnie Vodi will take place on November, 27 at 3 a.m. Arrival to Jidda is expected at 7a.m. (local time).
The carrier thinks to perform 24 paired flights (12 flights on transporting the pilgrims to Jidda and 12 – transporting the pilgrims back) for people in Chechnya and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.Aeroflot has the collaboration experience with the Russian hadj mission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the State Parliament (Gosduma) and authorities in Chechnya in performing repeated flights for pilgrims on hadj.
