The FINANCIAL — Denver International Airport (DEN) announced that Aeromexico, supported by SkyTeam Alliance partner Delta Air Lines, will bring back nonstop seasonal service between DEN and Monterrey, Mexico (MTY) this December.
Aeromexico added nonstop service to MTY as a new international route in December 2016 and due to its popularity, flights will return for this upcoming winter season, according to Denver International Airport.
“We are pleased that Aeromexico will resume their seasonal operation between Denver and Monterrey,” said DEN Chief Commercial Officer Patrick Heck. “Their previous service immediately stimulated the market and we expect this year’s flights will continue to serve the increasingly robust demand for travel between these two cities.”
Aeromexico’s flights will operate from Dec. 16, 2017, to Jan. 14, 2018, on Saturdays and Sundays. The flight departs from DEN at noon and arrives MTY at 3:50 p.m. The flight departs MTY at 8:42 a.m. and arrives at DEN at 10:45 a.m. Aeromexico will be using the Embraer 170 aircraft with 76 seats for this nonstop service.
Aeromexico provided the following statement about the resumption of service between Denver and Monterrey: “It is a pleasure for Aeromexico to announce this seasonal flight that will allow us to enhance the transborder connectivity and to expand the destinations served in the region. This new air bridge reflects our continuous commitment to offering both a connected network and a variety of options for our clients. Monterrey is a destination that provides both economic and cultural appeal between both nations.”
Aeromexico first inaugurated flights in Denver in February 2009 with nonstop service to Mexico City (MEX). In 2017 Aeromexico expanded its Denver-Mexico City flights to operate year-round, further solidifying the carrier’s commitment to the Denver market.
