The FINANCIAL — The largest Ukrainian passenger carrier, Kyiv-based AeroSvit air company, opened a flight bound for Kyiv-Astana (Kazakhstan) on April 25, the press service of the airline said.
The flight is operated once a week: from Kyiv on Saturdays and from Astana on Sundays.
At the same time, on May 20, the flight will be conducted twice a week: from Kyiv on Wednesdays and Saturdays; and from Astana on Sundays and Thursdays.
AeroSvit forecasts this direction will be loaded for 95% during summer.
According to the PR-director of the air company, Volodymyr Haidash, AeroSvit can carry passengers from Astana through Kyiv to Hamburg, Dusseldorf (Germany), New York (the United States), Toronto (Canada), Tel-Aviv (Israel) and other cities, including in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Kyiv-based AeroSvit airline in 2008 increased the number of passenger carriages by 22.2% or 0.456 million, compared to 2007, to 2.51 million passengers.
AeroSvit is Ukraine's largest air carrier, by the moment it operates on more than sixty international routes including six transcontinental passages.
The 37.96-percent stake in the AeroSvit closed joint-stock company belongs to the Gilward Investments B.V., the Netherlands; 25% to Dnipropetrovsk-based GenAvia Invest company; and 22.39% to the State Property Fund.
