The FINANCIAL — Leading Ukrainian Airline company Aerosvit will add direct flights from Tbilisi to Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa from June 1.
Aerosvit is going to be offering special promo prices on direct flights. One way trip prices to Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa will start from 99 EUR and a round trip from 160 EUR.
Ukraine Aviation Group includes four air companies; Aerosvit Ukrainian Airlines, DonbassAero, DneprAvia and Windrose. In the total framework of the alliance the number of passengers transported totalled 3,225,090 in 2011. According to the index of the first four months of 2012, the number of transported passengers totalled 820,455.

Aerosvit entered the Georgian market in April 2008. According to data of the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, for the nine months of 2011 Aerosvit was occupying a 13% share of the airline market in Georgia,” said Lali Beshkenadze, director representative office of Aerosvit in Georgia.
“It is hard to pick out the most popular destination of our company. We offer many interesting destinations to Georgian customers including New York, Toronto, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, London, Alma-Ata, Astana and many more. Our transit schedule is targeted at outgoing and incoming passengers. We have a very flexible, comfortable flight schedule,” Beshkenadze said.
“Aerosvit performs fifteen flights per week during Winter and Spring. For Summer and Autumn the company performs more than twenty flights per week. We have direct flights from Tbilisi to Kiev, Tbilisi-Dnepropetrovsk, Tbilisi-Odessa, Tbilisi-Donetsk, Batumi-Kiev and Batumi-Dnepropetrovsk. The average load factor of Tbilisi-Kiev flights during January and April was 70%,”Beshkenadze noted.
Domestic flights operated by Aerosvit are to Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Lvov, Simferopol, Ivano-Frankovsk, and to the Russian Federation – Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Sochi, Nizhnevartovsk, Murmansk and Rostov.
The company performs international flights to Riga, Vilnius, Budapest Warsaw, Prague, Bucharest, Sofia, Tallinn, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, Berlin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Napoli, Milan, Istanbul, Astana, Alma-Ata, Tashkent, Kishinev, Bishkek, Baku, Dubai, Bangkok, Peking, Deli, Tel-Aviv, Athens, Toronto, London, New York, Larnaca and others.
“Prices in our company are completely adapted to Georgian market demand. The minimum prices of tickets start from 290 GEL including airport tax, and round trip tickets from 450 GEL,” Beshkenadze said.
“Our company performs flights to Kiev two times a day. The schedule is maximally flexible for business passengers as well as for tourists. The first flight is scheduled to depart at 07:50 a.m. and arrives in Kiev at 09:25 (Ukrainian time schedule). The second flight departs at 17:55 p.m. and arrives in Kiev at 19:30. The morning flight is generally oriented at transit and business passengers. During the day Aerosvit therefore provides two flights from Kiev to Tbilisi. The first flight from Kiev to Tbilisi departs at 13:25 p.m. and arrives at Tbilisi at 17:10 p.m. The second flight departs at 22:15 according to Ukrainian timing, and arrives in Georgia at 01:50 a.m,” Beshkenadze said.
State Enterprise International airport Borispol is the main gateway to Ukraine. It serves more than 65% of air passenger traffic of the country.
“Today, the airport Borispol holds the leading position in the airline industry in Ukraine not only in terms of the pace of construction and reconstruction, but mostly considering the introduction of a number of modern technological solutions in the planes of high-quality service airlines and passengers,” Aerosvit noted.
“In the year 2011 for the first time in the history of air travel in Ukraine 8,000,000 passengers were served at the airport. The absolute maximum of passengers served was during the month of August in 2011 at 936,500. In July, the recorded absolute maximum daily number was 34,762 passengers and the absolute maximum for one week was 213,101 passengers, which was for the last week of July,” Aerosvit said.

One of the most famous Ukrainian open air festivals, it started ten years ago in the village of Sheshory and is now in the village of humiliation, in the Ivano-Frankovsk region.
