The FINANCIAL — Air France is continuing to upgrade its long-haul cabins and will start to equip its Airbus A330 with its new travel cabins as from the end of 2017. These cabins have been developed in partnership with Zodiac Aerospace and currently equip 31 Boeing 777 in the Air France fleet. They are highly acclaimed by Air France customers: in 2015, Air France was voted the world’s most improved airline by Skytrax.
The entire fleet of A330-200 will be equipped by end 2018, for a total investment of 140 million euros. On its Airbus A330, Air France will offer 30 Business class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats and 175 Economy seats, according to Air France.

If Air France is back among the best global airlines, this is partly thanks to our very high quality products and services. Equipping our Airbus A330 fleet with these cabins is the next logical step in the move upmarket of Air France’s products and services”, said Frédéric Gagey, Chairman and CEO of Air France.
AIR FRANCE’S BEST TRAVEL CABINS
In the Business cabin, Air France has designed a real cocoon in the sky. The seat adapts to the shape of each individual, from seating position to a real 2-metre long bed. The seat’s soft foam is designed to offer impeccable quality of sleep. With a soft duvet and XXL-sized feather down pillow, everything has been designed to ensure peaceful sleep among the clouds.
In Premium Economy, customers can enjoy the comfort of a new seat whose seat cushions have been developed by an ergonomist to further improve the comfort of the cabin. The wider seat reclines to 130° and also offers more legroom and more storage space for customers. In Economy, the seat offers more legroom, a new seat cushion, more comfortable headrests and a wider tray table.
Finally, each cabin has the latest high definition touch screen developed by Zodiac Inflight Innovations: RAVE. An intuitive screen that is used in the same way as a tablet and which enables passengers to find the entire Air France entertainment programme just by pressing their finger on the screen.
