The FINANCIAL — Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has expanded its codeshare agreement with Jet Airways to offer guests convenient one-stop connections to two major cities in East Asia.
The deal enables air travellers to fly with Air Seychelles and Jet Airways between Seychelles and Hong Kong or Singapore via the Indian city of Mumbai, with both legs combined on one single ticket to make the journey convenient.
Hong Kong is one of Asia’s leading leisure destinations, known for its dazzling skyline and round-the-clock energy, while Singapore is an exciting shopping destination with a diverse tourism offering that pulls in millions of tourists a year.
The new convenient and seamless air connections will complement the existing codeshare agreement between Air Seychelles and Etihad Airways on one-stop flights to Hong Kong over Abu Dhabi, providing holidaymakers from East Asia with more flight options to the tropical islands of Seychelles, according to Air Seychelles.
In total, Air Seychelles will place its “HM” flight code on 7 weekly flights operated by Jet Airways to Hong Kong and 14 weekly services to Singapore.
Roy Kinnear, Air Seychelles’ Chief Executive Officer, said: “This exciting development has strengthened our codeshare agreement with Jet Airways and established additional air connections between Seychelles and two of the most important economic, shopping and trading centres in East Asia.
“Flying to the Seychelles from Hong Kong or Singapore has now become considerably simpler and more convenient, and as a result we are confident inbound tourism numbers from East Asia will continue to grow, driving the development of our island economy.
“Furthermore, these new travel options to Hong Kong and Singapore also offer Seychellois citizens a great opportunity for short weekend escapes and shopping trips.”
