The FINANCIAL — Alban Aucoin has been appointed CEO of Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole starting 4 April 2016. He will remain in charge of public affairs for the whole Crédit Agricole group, including the Regional Banks, Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole and Crédit Agricole S.A.
Biography
Alban Aucoin started his career in 1989, at the Treasury department of France’s Finance Ministry. In 2001, he was appointed deputy director in charge of the euro changeover and monetary and banking affairs, before joining France’s permanent representation to the European Union as financial advisor. Between 2006 and 2008, he served as deputy to the director-general of public accounts. In June 2010, Mr Aucoin joined Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole as Deputy Managing Director in charge of financial, banking and European affairs.
He is 55 years old and a graduate of the elite French university ENA. He also holds a diploma from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and a Master’s degree in economics from Paris I University.
