The FINANCIAL — Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) on February 23 announced that in support of its strong results in both data and security markets, it is signing a Value-Added Distributor agreement with Redco Telematica.
Redco brings the benefit of its solid experience in these two important sectors, and it will join Alcatel-Lucent’s partner, EDSlan, as part of an Italian distribution network.
Redco has experience in planning and implementing solutions based on Alcatel-Lucent technologies, including Brick VPN Firewall, and has completed training on the full portfolio of Alcatel-Lucent enterprise networking and security products in order to provide pre-sales and after sales support to resellers.
“Through this agreement, Alcatel-Lucent expands its coverage to deliver data networking and security solutions through yet another expert and skilled partner who brings further support to resellers,” says Claudio Soland Enterprise Sales & Support Manager, for Alcatel-Lucent in the region. “Networking security and data communications are now critical aspects in every company, not only because of the importance of protecting and sharing of information internally and externally, but also in order to ensure business continuity and success. That is why choosing the right partner is even more important in this area, which has led Alcatel-Lucent to expand its collaboration with Redco.”
“The Italian market requires professional and functional solutions coupled with advanced technical skills from the supplier,” remarks Elisa Mancassola, General Manager of Redco Telematica. “We’ve always acknowledged Alcatel-Lucent for the high added value of its solutions, and we think that together with our rock-solid experience in providing solutions, products and support, we will be able to meet the needs of a demanding yet diversified market.”
Alcatel-Lucent offers a comprehensive set of network and application security products to protect and maintain the reliability of communication infrastructures and safeguard the people who use them.
