The FINANCIAL — While the Allianz Junior Football Camp will unite 75 teenagers from 25 countries in Munich in August (7-12/8), two other programs for youngsters are being launched. In September, the Allianz Golf Camp will bring 30 golfers to St Andrews Links in Scotland. This camp focuses on mentorships: 15 golf pairs will consist of a young player and their mentor. Later in the year, the Junior Music Camp of the International Lang Lang Music Foundation will unite young talented pianists in Munich to play and practice together, according to Allianz.
"Our experience with the Allianz Junior Football Camps makes Allianz a strong supporter of the idea to create bonds between societies by uniting children in the area of their personal interests and talent," said Joseph K. Gross, Global Head of Group Market Management of Allianz SE.
"For Allianz, the power of community and sharing is something we believe in," added Christian Deuringer, Head of Global Brand Management of Allianz SE.
The first annual Allianz Golf Camp is designed to celebrate the power of mentoring in golf and will take place at St Andrews Links in Scotland from September 14-18, 2013. 15 young golfers will undergo professional training with their mentors at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy and learn from LPGA and LET Tours player Beatriz Recari in a 5-day golfing adventure.
"We are delighted to announce the Allianz Golf Camp, which will be an exciting event open to everyone in the global golfing community. Golf inspires us, because it is not only a great sport, but also a way to spend quality time together and strengthen social bonds. That's why the Allianz Golf Camp will see experienced golfers playing and training together with youngsters: sharing their experience and inspiring each other. Along with our partner St Andrews Links, we look forward to welcoming our winning golfers to Scotland in September," said Dr. Christian Deuringer, Head of Global Brand Management of Allianz SE.
The Allianz Golf Camp is part of a new global initiative from Allianz, called "Live life in full swing". Allianz is a passionate supporter of golf as a way of sharing quality time with friends and family, recognising that in a fast-paced world, golf can help people stay healthy while also providing many added social benefits.
"Golf is a great sport because it is one of the few that has no boundaries – it doesn’t matter if you are male or female, young or old, expert or amateur, there is something for everyone," said Beatriz Recari, who wasrecently announced as an ambassador for Allianz, will attend the camp to provide training and expert tips alongside professional coaches from St Andrews Links Golf Academy. "I am thrilled to help announce the Allianz Golf Camp 2013 because it’s a unique opportunity for people to apply together for a once-in-a-lifetime golf adventure. I can’t wait to meet everyone at St Andrews Links in September; I’m looking forward to sharing what I know and maybe learning a few things myself!" Recari added.
The winning pairs will receive professional training from St Andrews Links Golf Academy and the chance to play against each other and Beatriz Recari in a real tournament. They will also get a look behind the scenes at the ‘Home of Golf’, enjoy a cultural programme and meet golfers from around the world, according to Allianz.
