The FINANCIAL — On 16 September 2015, Ambassador-designate of the Swiss Confederation to Georgia Lukas Beglinger presented copies of his credentials to Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, according to MFA Georgia.
Following the presentation ceremony, Giorgi Kvirikashvili congratulated Lukas Beglinger on his appointment as ambassador to Georgia wishing him success in his activities and expressing the hope that the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened. The Vice Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for the Swiss Government’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, for its mediation with the Russian Federation, for the efforts made during the Swiss chairmanship of OSCE, as well as for successful and effective development co-operation. The sides emphasized the extensive potential for the further deepening of co-operation in various areas including economy, inter-regional contacts, culture, education, etc.
The Ambassador-designate reaffirmed the Swiss Government’s support for Georgia, expressing his readiness to contribute towards the development of relations between the two countries and to bring them to an even higher level.
