The FINANCIAL — According to UNION, Ambassador of U.S. to Ukraine William B. Taylor extended condolences on the Zasyadko mine accident, according to the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine.
According to his statement, “On behalf of the Embassy and the American people, I extend our deep condolences to the people of Ukraine and to the families who lost loved ones in the accident at the Zasyadko mine. We applaud the heroic efforts being waged by fellow miners and emergency personnel to find and rescue those still missing. I have contacted the Government of Ukraine and offered to provide whatever resources we have that might be helpful in the rescue efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been touched by this tragedy and with those brave rescuers.”
